Visit to Kemble

On Sunday, 26 July, we visited the village of Kemble in the Cotswalds. It is a very pretty area. Despite the rainy day, the grown-ups had an adventurous hike through fields and footpaths to find the source of the Thames river.

After returning back to the cottage that George & Mieko had rented, we all had a delicious lunch and went off in search of the Corinium Museum. The kids had a great time all together searching for clues about Egyptian history (?) while the adults learned about the previous residents of England.

Perhaps Rudy has more interesting photos, but this was the only one I took that turned out.

A Walk in Kensington Gardens

We had spent time earlier in the trip, at the Princess Diana Memorial Playground, in Kensington Gardens. But this time, I went for a walk by myself when we were having a quiet day at the B&B.

River Cruise on the Thames

Our last full day in London, we opted for a river cruise from Westminster Pier to Tower Hill, to see any sights that were left to see. Alas, London has so much to offer and we had only so much time and energy.
