Everyday Cassoulet
(adapted from Betty Crocker's New Cookbook)

Step 1: Open wine and set aside 1/2 cup for cooking.
Step 1a: Check wine for quality.
Step 2: Assemble these ingredients...
(onion, carrots, garlic, sausage, beans, red wine, brown sugar, and thyme)
Step 3: Heat oven to 375 F.
Step 4: Mix ingredients together in ungreased, 3-quart casserole.

Results: Everyone, even the kids ate it. I can't say the kids liked it, but they ate it. I thought it was quite good. I think Rudy thought it was a bit sweet.
